Road to the Dead Sea Shore :)

A little stop to Ein Gedi, an oasis located in the Desert, west of the Dead Sea, close to Masada and the caves of Qumran. Ein Gedi is mentioned several times in biblical writings, it is known for its caves, springs, and its rich diversity of flora and fauna and the park is a sanctuary for many types of plant, bird and animal species. To be honest, I wasn't impressed at all, but who knows, maybe it's special for some people because it's in the Desert. At the entrance, you're warned to not touch the ibex - kind of goat, if you're meeting them (although I saw none in the park :P).

Dead Sea shore. It's drying so fast! On the other side The Jordanian Desert can be seen.

OK. So this is impressive - here, till few years ago, it supposed to be water, but because the Dead Sea is drying so fast, all that remains is the salt.
