Nothing special today, just a boat ride after an exhausting week, and this is how The White City is looking from The Mediterranean Sea:

South Tel-Aviv, guarding Jaffa, Andromeda Rock. The legend says that Andromeda was the beautiful daughter of a queen called Cassiopeia and a king called Cepheus. Her mother Cassiopeia claimed that she was more beautiful than the Nereids, the nymph-daughters of the sea. Poseidon (the god of sea) was very mad with her so he sent big waves to flood the land. The king consulted the wise oracle and he told him to sacrifice his daughter to the god of sea. Andromeda was chained to the the rocks in front of Jaffa and Perseus saw her and saved her, killed the monster and now the remains of the monster are the rocks.

Jaffa is believed to be one of the oldest ports in the world (9500 years old). It was under Egyptian rule from its conquest in 1470 BCE till 800 BCE, and its Egyptian name was Ya-Pho (Ya-Pu). During the time, was conquered by Arabs, captured during the Crusades, ransacked by Napoleon.

Little zoom to this building, and by the way, this has become The Vatican Embassy.

Tel-Aviv seen from Jaffa Fort.

Alleyways in Jaffa's Old City are fascinating me, it's that feeling that you're gaming inside an Old Citadel :P

Down Jaffa, the old port still exists today, with its stunning diversity...

The Late Coffee...

Jaffa

I hope it is just the beginning. Cica-s multe locuri d-astea pe aici. Tot aici este si "the Wishing Bridge", cica daca esti pe el si te uiti in mare ti se implineste dorinta. Ete... :P
